INTERESTS

Being a Bengali person, one of the most interesting things that I miss the most is "Adda" which is hard to translate in spirit, but roughly translates to hanging out and chatting with friends. While the age of social media allows us to connect with our friends through a simple tap on the phone, it cannot provide the sense of fulfillment characteristic of human connections made in close personal proximities. Nevertheless I have been fortunate to have met some people time and again who share the same interests and with whom "Adda" was possible. The greatest gift from these conversations have been the assimilation of a lot of diverse information and acquirement of new interests. I certainly owe these people a lot for opening the doors to a lot of joyous experiences in life.
